Program in Public Health

Master of Public Health (MPH)

Chicago is a bustling, vibrant city. One of the most unique traits of the city is the many culturally diverse neighborhoods and communities with a wide range of populations that have called them home for generations. The Program in Public Health, with the help of partners within these communities, offers our students real world educational experiences through our Master in Public Health (MPH) that other MPH programs cannot provide. Our students work alongside researchers and practitioners in developing approaches to improve community health.

Professional Experiences in Our Backyard and Beyond

As part of our MPH Program, students complete both a 200-Hour Field Experience Internship with a community or government organization as well as a Culminating Experience (capstone project) in the area of their choice. These experiences provide students the opportunity to learn from over 20 community partner organizations in our backyard or beyond in one of our many global placements.
